Audio transcript:

Impactful Mondays - Pause for a Cause - May 31st - Global CitizenshipArtist Name

Main takeaways:

  • We are all connected globally, instantly, so we have opportunities to grow, but also major responsibilities.

  • We need to make space in our lives for the members of our global community.

  • We need to regain perspective and become aware of our role in the global ecosystem.

  • As humans our goal is to progress and evolve and drive humanity forward.

  • We are not the top of the food chain, we are just one part of the ecosystem.

  • To become better global citizens we need to:

  1. make space in our hearts and put aside time in our schedule to become aware of all the important things in our lives and to gain perspective;

  2. be curious and educate yourself on global issues like climate change and social causes;

  3. train your sensitivity and empathy to be able to listen to and understand other cultures;

  4. become a master in cultural intelligence;

  • Most of our products are designed, manufactures, sold, used all around the world; so when we purchase a product we not just buy the product itself, but also all the problems that that product's supply chain create;

  • We are part of the problem each time we make a purchase;

  • By becoming an educated consumer and by making small green choices every day you can make a huge impact;

    We need to look to the future with hope, love and to try and improve daily: "do what you can where you can with what you have and always strive for improvement".
