The 7 Principles of Zero Way
1) Think in Cycles
Imagine your hand making an OK sign.
It also makes a circle.
It reminds you to always think in cycles.
Where does an object come from and where does it go?
You can use this concept to remind yourself of everything from the big scheme of things that we call the "circular economy" to the smallest of things that are right before your eyes. Like a pen. Where did it come from? Where will it end?

物事はどこから来て、どこに行きますかということを考えて欲しいです？
この概念を使用して、私たちが「循環型経済」と呼ぶものからなる大規模なものから、
目の前にある最小のものまで、すべてを思い出すことができます。
例えば・・・ペン。 それの材料はどこから来た？ 使用が終わったらどこに行ってしまうか？

2) Aim Big. Act Small
The bigger your goal, the higher the chances to succeed.
Think of the big picture first. Aim to change the world.
Imagine how you want the world to be, how you want the people to behave, how you want the planet to look like. And act as if it's already happening.
Aim big, but act small. Aim global, but act local.

3) Choose Empathically
Use your pointer finger to make the right choices.
Point to your heart first and then to whatever the heart picks.
Each time you have the choice between cheaper and/or better performing products, choose to rather buy something that is fair-trade, local, sustainable, ethical.
Put the planet first. Put your community first. Put the people first.
And they will put you first, too.
Pick the products made with love and respect, rather than those made with the sole purpose of growing the business and making money.

But I want you to imagine yourself respectfully showing said finger to the status quo.
Question everything you see on TV, on social media, everything you've been passed down by your parents. Do your research. See something new? Explore it.
Don't be afraid to experiment with new products. Make your own.
What can I do myself (DYI)? >>

5) Connect. Share
Wiggle your ring finger. What does it remind you of? A ring, right.
And what does a ring represent? Marriage? Yes. But also a bond between people.
Well, in our case, it is the commitment we make towards our loved ones, but especially towards the community. I want this finger to remind you of what it means to be in a relationship with the community.
It means you share everything. You trust each other. You love each other. You are a family.
You try to protect what you collectively own.
I want you to be reminded of the term "sharing economy".
Instead of promoting ownership and private property, create a community, a public space, a public use and re-use of products.
What is a sharing economy? >>
Wiggle your ring finger. What does it remind you of? A ring, right.

6) Promise to Persevere

So, by raising the pinky I want you to make a promise, a commitment to never stop doing what you're doing. Even when you fail, it's ok. Failure is part of the journey towards success. If you feel pressure to do something, don't do it.
Proceed with small, easy, incremental steps. Remember the goal. There is more than one road towards the goal.
How to keep myself motivated? >>

So, by raising the pinky I want you to make a promise, a commitment to never stop doing what you're doing. Even when you fail, it's ok. Failure is part of the journey towards success. If you feel pressure to do something, don't do it.

7) Make Yourself Heard
The most important tool we have is to make our needs heard. We can change the world using two tools. One is our voice, the other is the act of purchase.
When we put our money where our mouth is, corporations listen.
But when we don't see the products that we want on the market, making sure we let the corporations know is the best way to change our economy.
Any time you get the chance, let others know what you want to see on the market!
Or the direction you want a product to move towards.
Then call a friend, and have them do it, too.
The more demand, the faster the change.
How to make your voice heard? >>
