Hello. I am Bianca and I am the founder of Zero Waste Japan. I have created this website in order to
track the development of the Zero Waste movement in Japan. Before anything else, I feel it is necessary to write a thing or two about myself, what I stand for and my work along the years.
About me
My name is Bianca Yamaguchi, age 29 (in 2018), a single mother to a beautiful half Japanese 3 year old girl. I was born in Romania and raised in Canada, currently residing in Fukuoka, Japan. I have a BA in General Psychology, an MBA from the Romanian-American University in Bucharest and have been working for a business consulting company for the last 7 years while in Japan.
I have launched the Zero Waste Japan website in November 2014 because I really wanted to be one of the many who struggle to rid this world of all that is unnecessary, of offering people the option of leading a simple, effective and fulfilling life! A ZERO WASTE life. My dream is to make Fukuoka the first Zero Waste city in the world!
I want all the young people who have a big vision like me to see my evolution FROM ZERO TO HERO and to see for themselves that it IS possible to become who you’ve ever wanted to be, even though everything around you seems to keep you off track!
