What is the value that you provide to the customer?

Is Zero Waste one of those values?

 

Convenience

Is it convenience what's keeping you from making Zero Waste products?

Convenience for the company? Or for the customer?

Isn't it rather more convenient to apply Zero Waste principles?

Design

Is your product's design Zero Waste?

 

Quality

Do you feel like Zero Waste reduces the quality of your products or services? Or enhances it? 

 

Cost

Is applying the principles of Zero Waste costing you more money than before?

 

Risk

Is Zero Waste a threat to your company, because it might mean loosing market share or customers?

Is Zero Waste more risky to include in the product/service's production?

 

Resources

Are the resources you're using organic, renewable, biodegradable and fairtrade?

 

Delivery

How do you deliver your product/service to the customer? Is this process Zero Waste?

 

Revenue

Are your Zero Waste ideas bringing any remarkable revenues?

 

Partners

Are your partners (aka suppliers or distributors) keen on cooperating with you to reach your Zero Waste potential? 

 

 

> If all these questions make you realize Zero Waste is not for you, then you might think to incorporate Zero Waste ideas into your new R&D department, and ask them to improve the quality/cost/value of the product/service. You will not regret it. Because whether you like it or not Zero Waste is the future.
