Why are you calling it "Zero" Waste?
It's obviously impossible to achieve a complete elimination of waste.
We call it "Zero" waste because ZERO is a concrete value, with no space for interpretation. It is an ideal to aim for, not a final goal to be achieved. Because Zero Waste does not have a "finish line". It is a continuous journey to eliminate every wasteful aspect in one's every day life. And by aiming for zero we have the certitude that the Zero Waste Mentality will never cease to be a part of every body's lifestyle.

Frequently Asked Questions
When you say "waste", don't you mean "garbage"?
No, by no means the term "waste" is reduced to the meaning of "garbage" (or trash, rubbish, junk, litter, debris etc.)
In the Zero Waste concept, "waste" is reffered to as everything that does not add any value or has no use. It is something that it is completely unnecessary. This could mean anything from objects to actions. Please check out the page Types of Waste for more information.
