Here are a few types of waste that we find in our every day lives.

Some of them you are aware of, some of them you aren't.

Some may seem obvious and some may not seem "out there".

But if you can manage all of them, you are awesome!

Feel free to add your own.

1. Time

"Time is money!" is the first thing that comes into my mind everybody talks about waste of time.
But it's there, it's a reality for all of us, we are living in the speed century and we are all aware of the fact that we must spend our precious time carefully and not waste it on the unnecessary.

But are we really spending our time carefully?

Are we really controlling our time-spending habbits the way we hope to?

Aren't we really missing out on what's trully important for us?

2. Space

This planet is obviously big for all of us. But that's not the point.

We all live in houses of different sizes thinking that we have oh so many needs.

But do we really feel happy having so much stuff lying around, not serving any purpose for 80% of the time?

Shouldn't we be using that space for something else?

3. Words

Words are man's most powerful tool. Each and every word that reaches our ears have a certain influence on our lives, be it a huge influence or an insignificant one.

By choosing the right words, one can achieve more than just speaking purely based on emotion.

One poorly chosen word can cause a chain reaction that might bring us more bad than good.

While a carefully chosen word might be enough to solve a difficult problem.

What and when should we speak to have a zero-waste communication?

4. Stuff

Some of us are lucky to earn enough money to go shopping at least every week. And we have to admit it, we buy a lot of things. Things that we use either all the time, sometimes, or once a year, even less.

Nevertheless, everything we buy ends up either stocked somewhere around the house or in the landfill.

But do we really REALLY need all that stuff?
Could we actually live without it?

5. Money

It would be a huge lie to say we don't care about losing money, because we do.
No matter how much money we have, we don't like to lose them (unless gambling is our main afternoon activity).

like to think that we are able to manage them "like a boss".

But are we really in control of our finances?

Are we really not wasting any money at all with our daily activities?

How can we control our budget before it controls us?

6. Skills

All of us have dormant skills that we don't put to good use.

Like some of us can sing really well, but work as accountants.
So what do we do with perfect sets of skills that we usually or never use at our working place?

Could we use those skills in our favour or to help others?

Could we earn an extra dollar or two by using them?

What skills do you have that are dormant?

7. Movement

From the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep again, our body moves. Eating, walking, working, doing chores, driving, even when just typing or waiting, we move one or the other part of our body.

And every movement takes time and energy.

Some of our movements are very important for us.

Some because we are getting paid for them.
Some because they cost us time.

How many of the moevements we make every day bring us value and how many of them are actually wasted?

8. Energy

We need energy to live.

We use our energy to accomplish different activities, chores, taks, jobs etc.

But how much of the physical energy that we use is actually used efficiently,

and how much of it is wasted?

How can we make sure that the energy we invest

is going to bring any value to our life?

9. Emotions

We are a bag of emotions. And every second we feel. Happiness, anger, satisfaction, discontent, pleasure, sadness, excitement, stress, boredom etc., all these emotions are the result of our "motional investment".

How much of our psychological resources are invested in anything

is reflected in the reaction that we have related to the outcome of the object of our investment,

be it a person, object or activity.

Is the object of our emotional investment really worth it?

Aren't we actually wasting our psychological resources on

something that doesn't bring value to our lives?
