Personal Hygene
Keep healthy and still be Zero Waste

The bathroom is one of the most important rooms in the house when it comes to hygene. We spend enough time in the bathroom bathing, washing our teetsh, using the toilet etc. But we don't spend enough time looking at our trashbin that's inside our bathroom or toilet.

The time has come for you to rethink the way you use toiletries! How can you get healthier habits and reduce waste at the same time?

Here are some ideas bellow ↓

Please feel free to tell us your own experiences and to share with us your tips and ideas in the comment section at the bottom of the page!

Personal hygene is very important for each and every one of us.

Healthy teeth, healthy skin, healthy hair. But so many products we use today come packaged in all sorts of plastic containers. And even if you're just trying to refill, you still have to buy a plastic bag.

Here are some ideas that help you be Zero Waste without changing your personal hygene habits.

1. Bamboo toothbrush

2. Locally home-made toothpaste

3. Locally home-made shampoo& conditioner

4. Locally home-made (hard&liquid) soap

5. Bamboo hairbrush

6. Cloth menstruation pads for women

7. Recyclable shavers (although using an old fashion straight razor, a barber's shaving razor or not shaving at all :] are trully Zero Waste alternatives worthy to be taken into consideration)

If you have enough time on your hands, it would be great if you could

research how to make your own products in the safety of your home.

If you don't have time, it is also very beneficial to the local economy to search for people that make hand-made products and sell them at local organic stores, auctions, garage sales or online.
